Entering Event Details
The second step in creating a job in DepoScribe is to provide the Event Details.
The event details provide information to DepoScribe needed to determine the template type and populate the cover page. The information is also used when searching the jobs list if you want to sort by event date.
You can choose to enter placeholder information if you don't care about the cover page and don't believe you will need to search for the event in the future.
Understanding Event Types
The event type you choose will determine the capabilities of the transcript that is generated by DepoScribe.
Deposition
The Deposition event type will allow you to specify certain speaker types like the Witness, Reporter, Questioning Attorney, and more. Depositions use our deposition specific templates, and allow for Q&A and Colloquy formatting.
Hearing/Trial
The Hearing/Trial event type will allow you to specify speakers like the Witness, Questioning Attorney, Judge, Bailiff, and more. This type uses our trial specific templates, supports Q&A and Colloquy formatting, and also allows for multiple witnesses to be identified.
General Meeting
The General Meeting type is meant to be used for other generic transcriptions like EUOs, Arbitrations, Mediations, City Council Meetings, and more. This type will output only Colloquy, and only allows for the participant speaker type.
